We can downloads up to a thousand patents as CSV, XLS, XML or PDF formats with attributes such as memo, ratings and bookmarks. Patent Download function is available in Patent View, Compendium Overview, Patent Map Function and visualization function.

Now we introduce how to download patents. For example we create a search result of U.S. granted patents search by a keyword "computer".

Then search results are shown. And click the "DL" button on the above of the over view area. Then the batch download window will open. We can configure output conditions.

Download Patents List by CSV Format

We can specify a download format from CSV, XLS, XML (lists) and PDF (compendium) in the batch download window. Now we choose a CSV format as an list output example. We will explain PDF format output later.

Check Output Fields

Check the output fields of patents by publication number (Doc. No.), publication date (Pub. Date.), application number (Ap. No.), filling date, assignee, inventor, title, abstract and claim.

Specify the Number of Patents to be Download.

We can specify the number of patents to be download and sorting condition in "3". We support up to 5000 patents download for a list (CSV, XLS, XML) and a compendium (PDF). Now we set the download number as 200.

Start Downloading

If you finish the configuration, then click "DOWNLOAD" button.

If you click "DOWNLOAD" button, then download processing will start immediately.

After the completion of the download, the following alert message will be popup.

Open CSV file

We can open the CSV file by spreadsheet software such as Excel and OpenOffice.

PDF download (compendium)

We can download up to 5000 compendium as PDF format. To download patents by PDF, we choose "PDF" in the Output Format selection of the BATCH DOWNLOAD window. In PDF output, we can choose layout of the compendium from 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 9 patent(s) per a page. But we can not choose the output fields freely. We can choose only abstract and claim fields (PDF only).

Download from Patent Portfolio function

We can download patents from patent portfolio function. Open patent portfolio window, and click "DL" button.

Then BATCH DOWNLOAD window will be open.

Download from Visualization function

We can select plural patents by "Shift-key + Drag&Drop". And we can download selected patents by selecting "BATCH DOWNLOAD" in the right click popup menu.
