Now we introduce the basic method to create and edit person dictionary. We will explain the creation of the "Microsoft" person dictionary as an example. We can also create a person dictionary of inventors and attorneys.

Person Dictionary Function

A label supervise plural names (assignees, inventors and attorneys) will be defined a character string begin from a character "[c]". Now we want to create a person dictionary of Microsoft, input the text input of the upper left a label "Microsoft", and hit an enter key or click the "ADD" button. Then dictionary labeled "Microsoft" was created.

We can edit the label of the dictionary by double click the displayed label.

Register an assignee name

We can register any assignee name freely in the left lower area. Now we register names "Name1 to 3". Then the label "Microsoft Group" will supervise the assignee name "Name1", "Name2" and "Name3". For example, we can make up patents of the company "Name1", "Name2" and "Name3" by the label "Microsoft Group" in the patent map function.

Assistance Function

Patent map function makes up patents of an assignee by a perfect matching. So if we enter an assignee name manually, the mistake will be happen.

Input the words related to the current person dictionary to the upper right text input. Now we input a "Microsoft" (We can also search candidacy by plural words (c.f. "Microsoft Corp" split by space letter means searching condition "Microsoft" AND "Corp").).

And hit an enter key or click the "ADD" button.

Then the name "Microsoft Corporation", "Microsoft Corp" and "Microsoft" and patents number be shown. And if the assignee has a co-assignee, the co-assignee will be shown.

And select the names "Microsoft Corporation", "Microsoft Corp" and "Microsoft" by the shift-key + click.

And drag and drop the selected items to the left side dictionary label "Microsoft Group".

Then the "Microsoft Corporation", "Microsoft Corp" and "Microsoft" are register to the dictionary labeled "Microsoft Group". Now we registered plural names at once, but we can register a name by drag and drop one by one.
